Post Post subject: unexpected behavior [abt resolution] Reply with quote

hi dk,

vb is disturbing me. my mdi form was designed in 1024 by 768. But now i m running the program in 800 by 600. but it stills run my mdi form as if screen size is 1024 by 768. when the property is maximized, mdi form should run to fit the current screen resolution, isn't it? instead, it is giving me scroll bar to reach to it's end(considering it is running in 1024...)

i don't know if i could clear u. in fact, i m feeling problem with size of components and forms. i m not being able to make a component or form with defined size. (e.g. if i like to make a component of 130 by 85 (pixel) size, how can i fixed it with property window). i know, it's hearing very simple, but causing me suffer.

share ur views (let me know, if i m wrong)

Belal,

It shouldn't do that if you set the windowState property to maximize. And lock down the scrollbar option from the property.
If you still having the problem then send the code. I will check it.

Code:
me.windowstate=vbMaximized

use this on you mdi form load
but one problem if you set your controls in high resulation. But there is also solution for resizing controls.
