Post subject: What inspires you?
In your life there are small things that inspire, move you or impact you in some way. Wether it be a painting, something someone said or did, something you saw, a song,a poem, or even quote...wait, that could go into the category of things people have said. Any-who, the point is there are things in life that stirr an emotion inside of us and inspire. Some things even invoke a feeling of familiarity, somthing we can relate to.
So what are the things that have affected you in the past, or taught you a powerful lesson (in a good way though ) . Also say why. Who knows it may inspire someone else to.
Its like the story i read in life lessons, Bricks and Blessings. It really hit me home. I can't really explain it.
So im Curious what pulled your heart strings? Sorry if this isnt a good topic

I am inspired by :
Questions about existence and universe.
A creative 3d art work(robol's works) or animation(final fantasy, though the philosophy sucks. The animation work was outstanding.)
Complex web design( I can list some of my favs if anyone asks for it).
Web related Programming problems(php).
Outstanding sci-fi movie or book(One saga that stirrs me time and again is Ender's Game series, specially the first one).
Heavy Metal Songs with deep lyrics make my blood boil( a list is provided somewhere else.)
A beautiful mind(very rare to find. )
You did'nt want to know what puts people off. I will volunteer my information:
Unnecessary dishonesty and smartness.
Irresponsibility.
Words without meanings.
Stereotyped people. _________________

A cup of coffee, Mark knofler and good books.
And I travel a lot. Anyway, this life and I love every bit of it from day dream to night dream.

Something just came to mind. I have a cynical view of the human condition. I believe that people, myself included, are motivated by selfish desires. Even when someone does something nice, I question that person's motives and think "what's in it for them?" Something that inspires me is someone who does something kind for someone else with absolutely no expectation of something in return. A random act of kindness, if you will. Is it even possible to do some kind act for someone without a selfish motivation? Would doing something nice for someone with the expectation of a good feeling inside be a selfish motivation?

Of course, existence comes first before anything else. Naturally, anything one does or does not is somehow related to existence. Is it even possible to do some kind act for someone without a selfish motivation? Yes and No. Undoubtably, human beings do everything that somehow satisfies one of his needs. Need for love, affection, security, money, sex or whatever. The basic principle is utilitarianism. People are drawn to pleasure and try to avoid the pain. Here is the paradix. Sometimes people will even endure pain if the pleasure from pain is greater than pain itself.
Similarly, one can act selflessly if and when he derives pleasure from that selfless act. Would you call it selfish if someone's motive of a selfless act is to please himself? My opinion is, you have to redefine and clear up the notion of selfless acts . This is the only way human can work. This is how evulotion built us. A truly random act of selfless intention is impossible. That would mean a break in the chains of causality. Improbable. The definition of a selfless act should include this causation of gaining satisfaction. _________________

Well talking about my inspirations I suddenly found I have no idea what makes me go on. I suppose my first inspiration comes from inside me ... because of my self-respect, because of my hunger to prove myself... because of my self-confidence. Then there's my family as a whole. There are my friends. ..And well my rivals of course. Others include books, music, my own "bull****" .... ahem, philosophies that is .... , the sea, the sky, THE NIGHT (I really love the night, I love darkness, it's so peaceful at night!!!), being alone .... AND A LOT MORE STUFF THAT ONLY GOD CAN REMEMBER ON MY BEHALF!!! _________________ Abrar.
