Have you got the specifications on what you ought to do? Or you have to come up with your own idea about what should be done?
What is the level of the thesis? 10th grade or Phd.?
By web technology you mean simple web design with html and css or a completely database driven
dynamic site? Does it relate to ecommerce?
Sever side scripting like php, asp are full fledged programming language, so you can say it is software engineering too. Will that be enough, or you want to implement an offline application built in java or C in the environment?
