Best way to store long text in mysql?

I was wondering what would be the best and optimized way to store very large amount of data in a mysql database? Like may be a very long article or story. It may also have to handle text with html formatting. Anyone worked with large amount of text and Mysql before?

yes you can store with html tags. Its perfectly handels.
you can use MEDIUMTEXT,LONGTEXT or all BLOB types datatypes.

the size of datatype (maybe you know it)
but also here you can see the sizes of datatype

Thanks hasnut. I see that TExT field can hold upto 65535 chracters. So that's quite enough for most requirements . I don't have any specific problem in hand. I was just wondering about others' preferences. And if there were any specific advantages on the available options.
