Is there a way that windows and linux can coexist peacefully in one small little harddrive, and boot up to the desired OS according to the whimsical wishes of the master?

We are going to get 2 new machined. I will install linux in one of them. Is there any flavour of linux specially good for low configured machines?

It depends what kind of works you want to do. As you know linux is built for low configured machine. A pentium I PC is enough for 100 clients from file and print server. Just need to tune it.

Try red hat fedora core 2 with latest kernel. If you want FreeBSD let me know. Suse is also good. Knopix if you can find, run from CD, don't need to install in hard drive. :)

Bah! lol. You pick one then. The hardest job it may have to do is compile a few pages long java program. No graphics intensive job.
