Google is not updating PR. Dropping PR from public eyes?

Google has not been updating PR or assigning new PR for any website for last 3 months! What is wrong with Google? Has anyone heard any rumor on this weird behavior? Or have you noticed any update of PR for any of your websites?

I heard whispers that Google will be updating PR on a quarterly basis from now on. If that is correct it is better than the other possibilities.

The worst possibility is that Google will drop the PR number from the public sights. That means it won't show up in the tool bar anymore and the open source checksum algorithms to check google PR from a website won't work either. That'd be bad. But to think of it, the way PR is being abused, that might be the only way for google to go. What every webmaster can think about now is how to increase PR. How to get a PR of 7/8. And they spend thousands of dollars for buying link from high PR websites, instead of trying to produce quality content for their websites. This is rediculous. I have seen people selling a single link from a PR 8 web site on ebay $600 per month! He was selling 20 links for that page. This is a redicuolous amount of money for a link! Is'nt it?

Well, this only goes to show what a tremendous force google has become in internet marketing in last six years. Now that is something to get inspired from too! lol.

It looks to me that if google removes the page rank from the toolbar, that will solve most problems. They do not need to show this information to normal browsing persons. Only the webmaster need this information. What do normal persons care about what what is the page rank of a website?

But I see that google is also puting a lot of marketing effort in the google toolbar. If the toolbar no longer has the page rank showing then it will lose a large number of the GT users. Google may not be willing to do that. Who can say what google thinks.

People now know how to make pagerank high. Google are mostly depends on their pagerank technology and its comes with the linking with each other. Currently you won't find any site with reciprocal links. as the quantumcloud do.

Right, hasnut. Google is always on the run to keep ahead of the spammers and webmasters who want to abuse the popularity and influence of google. And it's us, webmasters', job to circumvent google and try to make it show in the SEPs what we want it to show. lol This is extremely fun. I loooooooooooooooooove goooooooooooooooogle.
