I don't understand what you mean. Do you want to import an image in the JBuilder and then write codes so that end users can select the image and resize it? It is certainly possible to use the draw shapes with awt classes and dynamically resize it. That Should not be very difficult.

sorry, i didn't stated properly that i am trying to do that in c#.
is it possible to select the images in the run form? if there are many images (shapes) drawn , how to maintain the selection of a particular shape in the form. ex. in paint application, once u have drawn a circle u can not resize it.but u can do that in MSword or visual studio.

Okay, I understand what you want. Unfortunately, I cannot help you there in C#. In fact, I am guessing that you know more about C# than I do! .

But here check this out.

Asteroids programmed in C#

It’s a game of Asteroids programmed in C#. It uses GDI+ so a fast enough computer is recommended. There are no external images needed all the sprites are drawn internally.

This might give you some hints. Most probably not. Sorry I could not be of much help to you.

Hi radhiga,

I have a solution in my mind. See if it satisfies your need. I didn't write code for it. But it won't be a tough one if you prefer it.

If you
-list out the names of your shapes drawn on the form and show on a list box
-use parameter box to input different values for your shapes
-use some button like refresh

Then you can select your shape and change parameters and then try to redraw with button click.

Let me know what is in your mind.

Thanks
belal

Post Post subject: how to name the shapes? Reply with quote

hai belal,
first of all thanks for ur reply..
can we be able to name the shapes drawn on a form? pls reply me how to do that.

since the fn ,
graphicobj.DrawRectangle(pen,...............) returns void we can not assign directly as

rectname = graphicobj.DrawRectangle(pen,...............);

is any other possibilities to do that. and how to use parameter boxes?

thank u.
