Well, webbangladesh is probbaly one of the most successful of Bangladeshi web design companies. They certainly did many works and has a good business network. Let us analyse what is wrong with webbangladesh.

lol. You are right hasnut. The most annoying thing with the website is perhaps, the overdose of animations. Just because you know flash does not mean you have to apply it every chance you might get. For the sake of balance and the users they could do away with so many stupid animations. Most of them are completely unnecessary. May be the real advertisers' should have their ads animated. But what is the necessity to animate the ads of their own effort. I guess they don't know that web users just automatically turn blind to useless animations these days. Because they distract them from the real useful information. The site was so slow that two of the ads(perhaps) in the right column failed to load at all. And what a color combination! Red, yellow, blue. Looks like they tried to include every color that are available in the color pallet. The navigation is good though. Everything is within easy reach of the mouse cilcks. That the website is built and maintained by ametaures is boldly manifest in their using a counter. lol. Only kids use counters to show how many visitors they are getting. No professional would do that. What is the use of counters? Another major problem is that many of their main sections have different looks. Not only different looks, but they point to different domains. How worse can they confuse the users? If they want to link to different domains or efforts of them then they should make it very clear, instead of making them look like they are in-site links. This is a search portal for god's sake. That's where they should concentrate on. This completely fails the aim of a portal system. The website is not search engine friendly either. Leaving dynamic urls like that is not a good idea for the search engines. Anoter stupid thing is how they included the style properties in every page, instead of using a linked style sheet. Increasing the page size needlessly.

Their color scheme is horrible. They don't even have an about us page or site map. Although, some of their other websites are good looking.

Nope..not at all...I'm not with you quantum. In Bangladesh we should give this counter for the visitors...cause maximum visitors will judge at first time when you open your website and how many people have visited(Only for Bangladeshi fool visitor who are the media for you!!!). Its my gues only..nothing else...cause I have heard many times from some of my friends and younger brother....that..they are happy cause this is a busy site..it has a huge hits daily!!! and that means its the best!!! I don't think counter is needed for the webmaster cause he can aware about it from the control panel of his site. So, my opinion is you should give a counter for the first time and when your site became known to all..then you can remove them.
Its my opinion only...no critic about your comments.

lol. yeah. Really only the kids would be happy to see a counter and believe that it really means something. Have you used even one of those free counters? If you did you would know that even those can be manipulated to show any number that you wish. Like you can begin the counter with 100000 visitor. And if it is something customized to your site, then there is no end to what you can show the visitors. So those counters means something only to the inexperienced people. For anyone who has some idea if you've got a low number showing, people are just going to think it's a crap site that nobody visits, so they go elsewhere. If you've got a high number, people are going to think you're just showing off, and go elsewhere. So what good is it? And as I said, a billion of useless users is really no good if they are not the kind of people you really want. Who cares what a kid thinks of how many hits you get? Are they your client or user base? No. Not unless you are selling kid toys.
