Whoops...I didn't know that. So, what about mysql then ? For some reason Access sounds too childish to me !

Not mysql either. You will have to install mysql in the user's computer then to access the database. Only Ms Accesss and one other database(that noone uses) can be used with standalone applications. That you can just ship with one file without needing to install the database server itself. Access is childish, may be. But it is not meant for very important or large projects. It does what it is supposed to do.

There are too much discussion on starting what to use
What my recommandation are

if you are on MS technology then
Vb.net/C# with Sql Server Database

if ORacle Then

Developer 6i and ORacle database server

Thanks dude for the nice explanantion. Now its clear to me. I think for now I'm gonna use VB with Access.

hasnut, after I become confident with VB and access, then I'll think about C#.Net.
