Hi,
People are not interested to run linux as because they don't know how to install.
Maybe someone tried but ereased the whole HDD. Or use a saperate Hdd to do the linux install.
But here is easy solution for novice to test/ practice linux keeping your all data safe(most of case people can't do partition linux and erase all the hdd with all partitions)
Use Vmware, You can install in a folder.
Not only linux, virtually all the OS can be installed useing Vmware.
And also who are only use linux and want to test windows on linux, they can also install Windows in their linux using Vmwares linux box.
