Post Post subject: Death Reply with quote

Why do most people fear death so much?
Since generalizing isnt always a good thing why do you fear death?
I don't see to many reason I actually embrace death.

I don't fear death, I fear not being able to finish what I start...I'll only want to die when I've seen everything and done everything I want to...I fear dying before I can do those things-it's like writing half a story.

now lish you started a very broad topic, if one wants to answer he will put it as he/she thinks and believes.

let me ask me a question?
DO I FEAR DEATH?
now answer it:
hoooooommmmm!!! i don't know. maybe i do fear it. one minute lish, let me ask you a question since you started the topic: is there any severe pain when you are dying? you know you are losing your life and then becoming a statue like Rachel said in the color of water.

maybe i don't fear death. i am not sure. i need to think about it.
but i think what people fear about death is how they are dying. how do they lose it and then no life. i mean too much to think on it.

what i fear, Man! i mad fear to know the result of after death life. (from my belief) you bet i bother to know any kind of test result.

when i take any tests, take any school tests, like one i took today, i never count or think back about any of the tests i take in school or wherever.
it is too scare to me. i just wait till teacher gives me result when she/he wants. never ask when they will return the test. or whatever,

i took it and it is done. i have nothing to change, so why bother go back and think and ask and bother teacher about it.

same goes here, sometimes i see article on right way to pray and what kind of prayer is accepted to God.
Man! i just feel like running away from those articles. i do too. i don't print them out and don't try to read them unless i need to too much.
it is like knowing the result before hand.

to me death is the door way to get the result of this life. and i am too scare to know the result of it.
i think i will keep my eyes close and keep my mouth shut about everything. will do nothing, be like a statue...that's all.
i have been visiting a site name harunyahya.com and i saw quite a lot articles under death. i printed none of them and bother to look the title even properly. i just moved my eye away from those.
fearing that will know the result. (maybe i will check after hearing some responce to your topic.)

Hmm...very old and interesting topic. Do I fear death? Yes I do though it's the truth. I won't say ultimate truth. Maybe one day will come when science will be able to keep the whole memory of a person or what we call soul and tranfer it in another body while old body will diminish. My fear is not with death but with the pain that I must feel. Just think if you broke a finger or cut your hand, how is it feel? And death...too far to feel about.

Well maybe me or none of us not known to the pain of death...but I had read or heard about this pain. We all know that Muhammad is the most favourite person of GOD and that's why He oedered Azrail(AL) that, He is my friend so take life from Him very easily..so He will not feel any hurt....but when Azrail was taking life from Muhammad then He said, he is feeling like frying himself in hot oil!!! So.. if the pain of death of Muhammad was like that...then I must guess what will be us...and that is why for this pain I have to have fear to death.

Ya, there is. I am a muslim & my mom told me that...your soul is pulled out from your right toes. Its like pulling your flesh from your bones. You can't imagine the pain.

Dont you want to know...are you not curious? Dont you wanna know its instored for you...prepare yourself for it?

Is it really? I mean..i think its more like...if you study for your test...you are confident that you would pass no matter what. And if you dont study..you dont feel confident about it. And have doubts...& feel scared...insecure. So isnt it better to prepare for it & have no worries..right?

I dont think science will go that far. Its not possible...everything has to end one day. Nothing is forever.

dear brother hasnat,
i don't think you put the right person in right place.. it is not Prophet Mohammed (sw.) okay. didn't you read his biography?
//edited by me payel, this information, might not be true.

i don't like to see people putting wrong information about islam and its important people at all. simply can't stand it for a second. i get more than just fire to see those stuffs.

people say whatever they wish about islam...and have no idea what they say and don't even know is it related to it or not. (hasnat read for yourself. don't trust what you hear, since my childhood i just heard and believed and now as i read i find them as stupid as what i don't even know. i simply almost hate those people for providing such wrong information)

Lish sure lish i do read, but i read as i feel courious and i read as i need and i read when i see people saying too much about things, i read to clearify what people say and think and provide with.

i read about death a lot, not quite maybe. as i skiped those article, i just said to myself, something will happen and i will feel courious to know about this article and i will read about them putting my heart into them.

i don't want to read just because someone said so, or forced me so. that doesn't help to learn.. that doesn't go into the heart and don't make me believe in them

i am reading all the scientific analysis by a islamic science expart and a islamic scholar , whatever those scientist said and did, i have heard a lot about those so want to know what those really are, with facts and evidence.

//edited

i think i will print some article on it soon.

DK

Man!!! too much to think and too complex. lets just wait for that scientist now. he/she better come before i die, because i would like to put my soul in another body and live for some more time.

not bad. DK don't you want such scientist to come before you die?

//edited
or he will just try to keep or hold us in the world, let see. what happen. better happen soon. because i want to see.

It is interesting to see someone deriding miracles, who'd believe in souls in the first place let alone million other such. Anyway, I don't like where this thread is drifting towards. No mention of religion is allowed anymore in the forum.

I am also editing some of the texts of payel they are out of the line, condescending, and potential source for nasty debates. Next time think before you post.

Thank you Payel for the understanding. It is natural to have such questions, but it's just not to appropiate to ask or discuss those anywhere. Also, they would'nt be so improper here, if you polished up the language little bit. They might sound too agressive to many people. Thanks again for the understanding. Gentle smile

So you mean...so far you have never been curious about death? No one has talked to you about it? I think death is something...every human being should be interested in knowing. Like appetite comes with eating. Being interested comes with taking interest. Of course you shouldnt be forced into it. But i think, in this aspect...the sooner you know about it the better. Because like is very unpredictable. You dont know when you time is up.

Well dont just depend on the scientist for all the answers. Religion without science is blind. Science without religion is lame.

"Death be not proud
For some have called thee mighty and dreadful
Art not so" ...
================================

Sometimes I'm afraid of death sometimes I'm not ....
I've been lucky enough to face many difficult and risky situations because of my job ... most of the time I feel a craving to live ... I suppose it is hardcoded in our nature. But sometimes emotions drive me to become completely fearless ...

I look upon death as very natural ... and nothing to worry about normally. Since we can't avoid it and we must embrace death I do not think we should be really thinking about it too much. Just when the time comes "Follow the reaper to the point of no return .... "
