Hello again Gentle smile

A few weeks back I asked you what programming language to learn as I was planning to develop simple business applications. Well, now I've got a testground to play with. My uncle runs a diagnostic lab in bangladesh. At the moment they do everything (getting order, payments calculation, monthly profit calculation etc. manually with pen and paper). So, he has asked me if I can think of a program which can simplify his tasks so that every month he won't need to go through all the paper documents and calculate manually all the costs and profits...you know what I mean. I now know a little bit of VB and THINK its possible to create such applications with VB and Access.

Therefore, my question is, can I do the job with VB and Access ? If I use those two, what kind of problems I may face ?

Any help from anyone please ?

Update...

I started learning VB but got bored very quickly. I think I like C programming more and feel comfortable with it. As far as I've heard, its not easy to create GUI applications with C. But what if I use Visual C (or visual C++?) or Borland C++ builder ? Can't I use C codes with those tools or do I have to code in C++ ?

The main reason I want to avoid C++ because I don't get the OO bits very well. I mean I understand the OO concept but when it comes to programming OO, I really struggle
