I stumbled onto this website by accident but I'm glad that I did. It's nice to see so many people knowledgeable about multimedia programs like flash, etc. I'm a manager in a new animation firm that just started operations. We have some 3D animators (although we could wo with a strong character modeller in Maya) and I'm trying to build up a 2D department. I want to be able to create cartoons like the kind you see on Cartoon Network. Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends is done totally in Flash, but even shows like Samurai Jack and Powerpuff Girls follow a lot of Flash principals. The problem is finding people with a strong artistic background who can animate in Flash. So far I've met some good artists and some flash animators who are only used to website content. And even the flash people don't know the ins and outs of the program that well. Experienced people who know things like how to output for broadcast and keeping the frame rates constant, etc is hard to find. I'd love to hear what some of you have to say about making cartoons in flash.
