Hi Niloy,
Bryce is not really the best program to do complex object modeling. Try Maya or Lightwave for that. If you want to create human characters, get Poser 4. Poser is really a great program and easy to use. "Cause it already has a large library of ready made characters and poses. But to make something like a ship, lightwave would be the best choice. It's not like you cannot build anything like a ship in Bryce. You can. It may be a little tougher, 'cause you won't have that much tools to work with.
Most 3d object modeling is basically based on boolean operations. What it means in Bryce is to set any object(say a sphere's) attributes to Positive. Then take another object of desired shape and put it inside the 1st object and assign it's attribute to negative. Then group the objects and the 2nd object is deducted from the 1st. In this case, you may get a hollow sphere.
Check out this tutorial for a more detailed tutorial on Boolean operations.

If I can get some time I will try to write some tutorials on Bryce. Right now I am really busy for that. However, you are welcome to post any specific question about Bryce that you may have.
